As the story moves on, the characters, especially Cia, really come into their own. Not quite as good as the first book, mostly because Cia is too perfect in charbonnneau one, but I look forward to reading the conclusion. I still have a lot of questions. How come during the testing nobody knew or at least mentioned Tosu City students aren’t tested the same way?

These poor kids are thrown an impossible bunch of tests to see if they are suitable to continue their studies. Not sure that I could buy into this any more. Just when you think you have it figured out But what should be a sign of achievement is actually an indication that she is marked as suspect by the professors who control the Testing process.

There are now small, scattered colonies throughout the United States, including Cia’s colony, which has citizens. The first book was OK and I was curious as to how the events would unforld.
