Highly recommend it for any age – a new classic! Thank God somebody hugged that monkey, I was starting to get worried. This book can essentially be for anyone that wants to get a good read. By Oh Fiddly Sticks.

I highly recommend it. I actually wrote a letter to the author thanking him for such a perfect gem of a loving book – sometimes now when I am running frazzled and feeling out of sorts I’ll just look at my husband and yell “HUG” and we laugh and I get a hug and eveything is better. This book is utterly adorable.

The book is from early years to key stage one but as mentioned earlier it definitely is a book for everyone to read at least once in his or her lifetime.

C Gruver I don’t know what it is about this book since the only words written in it are “Hug”, “Bobo” and “Mama” but my very verbal and very avid 22 month old reader love this book.

The story is simple, extremely touching, and has some excellent illustrations that convey genuine emotions throughout. The best part is that since my son was born his nickname was “Bobo” so he thinks this book was written hugg for him!
